SPRING MINI-SEMINAR
SATURDAY, MARCH 29 9:30 a.m. TO ABOUT 12:30 p.m.
RECORDS CREATED AT DEATH
PRESENTER: RICHARD KYLE
There is the possibility of way more records and different types of records that are generated when someone dies than you might be aware of. Most, if not all of the records can provide critical information about your ancestors. The seminar will explore 18 different types of records that you may find when someone dies. We will cover where to locate these records and what you may find in each one. For the genealogist, there is way more available than just a death certificate, gravestone or obituary notice. One of these other sources may provide just the data you need. Handouts will be provided, but also please bring a notebook and a pen or pencil so you can make as many notes as you might find useful.
Cost is $5.00 per person at the door. Please try to bring exact change if possible. Halfway through the presentation there will be a short break and snacks will be provided. Also during the break, there will be drawings for door prizes. There is a sign-up sheet at the library or you can email Richard Kyle directly at rkyle98902@charter.net to sign up. Please try to sign up by Wednesday the 26th of March so we know how many handouts to make and how much food to provide for the break.
