After the usual business meeting, the May presentation will feature a talk by Julia Stringfellow, Professor and University Archivist at Central Washington University. Julia's topic is "Impactful Women and Their Contributions in Ellensburg History." This will be the talk that was originally scheduled for January but had to be cancelled.
Julia will share her research that focused on Ellensburg and CWU impactful women and their contributions. Examples will be the "mother of Ellensburg"; the wife of the first Ellensburg mayor; the first African American female minister of Ellensburg; and the namesake of Hebeler Hall at CWU.
Sounds like a very intersting presentation. Please join us at 1:30pm Monday, May 12th at the KCGS Library.
As usual, guests are also welcome at our meetings and presenations. Lite refreshments will also be available during the break. Hope to see you Monday, May 12th at 1:30pm.
