Published August 6, 1992 page 12. Ellensburg resident Charles Firkins is interviewed about his occupation as a Wheelwright - someone who builds wagon, cart and carriages the old fashioned way. He was only one of a few wheelwrights on the West Coast. Mr. Firkins passed away on September 2, 2020.

Folks today may recognize him as the builder of the Geddis Block and building on the corner of 4th and Pearl in Ellensburg.
