Published August 6, 1992 page 12. Ellensburg resident Charles Firkins is interviewed about his occupation as a Wheelwright - someone who builds wagon, cart and carriages the old fashioned way. He was only one of a few wheelwrights on the West Coast. Mr. Firkins passed away on September 2, 2020.

Published August 19, 1954 on page 4 of Ellensburg Daily Record. Early pioneer Leta May Smith (of Olmstead family) details the interesting life of early Kittitas County businessman S. R. Geddis. Folks today may recognize him as the builder of the Geddis Block and building on the corner of 4th and Pearl in Ellensburg. Sylvanus Ray Geddis, born February 12, 1838, died February 3, 1912, buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Ellensburg, Kittitas County, WA
